Legion Y720 Review

The Legion Y720 is not the most powerful PC in the Legion line up, but with a hefty price tag it’s not exactly a budget PC either. We’ve spent the last few months with the Y720, here are our thoughts.

Whats in the box:
The Y720 comes with the tower itself, a power cable, a keyboard and mouse.

Specs:
I7-7700 3.60 GHz processor
AMD Radeon RX 570 graphics card
16 GB DDR4 ram
1 TB hd + 128 GB SSD

The 720 also comes with WiFi, Bluetooth and a 7 in 1 card reader.

While not the top in its class, the Y720 comes with some serious hardware. I never felt as though we were missing out on graphics or frame rate even with some of the highest settings on some of our favorite games.

Accessories:
The keyboard and mouse included with the Y720 are simple, but they get the job done. The keyboard is an all black, standard corded keyboard. The mouse is a basic three button corded mouse with a scroll wheel. Both the keyboard and mouse would most likely be the first things to be upgraded for more serious gamers.

Graphics and game play:

Gaming on the Y720 was simply great. I was not necessarily blown away at the performance, but by no means was I disappointed. While you may not be able to use the highest graphics settings on all games, I never found myself wanting more.

With the right settings even some of the most demanding games run as smooth as ever.

As with the Y920, the Y720 is capable of tool-less upgrading, not that it will be necessary in the near future.

Final thoughts:
The Lenovo Legion Y720 is not the best gaming PC available. That being said it still sits way above average. The Y720 is for serous gamers who want the very best they can get without droping a small fortune.
At this price point, you will not find a better PC. I strongly recommend the Y720 to anyone who is looking to step up their gaming quality without all the hassle and confusion of building your own, and wants the most for their money.
