I run the big cleaner on my carpets about 3-4 times a year and I’m always impressed (and kinda grossed out) by how much dirt it takes out of the carpets. My floors look brand new after I use it!
As much as I love my big carpet cleaner, it’s not the best tool to use for small stains and spot cleaning (e.g. random cat barf, leaky milk cups and melted popsicles left behind the toy bin). When the Bissell Pet Stain Eraser arrived I could not wait to try it out!
First, it’s super easy to put together and operate. I had it unboxed and ready to use within 5 minutes. All you do is add the cleaning solution, turn it on and you’re ready to go!
Even with the solution, the steamer is lightweight and easy to carry from room to room.
The first thing you do is spray the stained area, let it sit for a minute and then go over the treated area with the vacuum suction. The suction is very powerful so it practically dries up the carpet as it’s cleaning.
There is also a little scrub brush on the bottom of the vacuum so it helps to scrub the stain out as you’re using the suction. The only thing I would change about this cleaner is to have those little scrubbers move/spin automatically (like on a regular vacuum).
I tried the Pet Stain Eraser out on a few spots on my carpet and it worked well on both fresh stains as well as older stains. I had to run the cleaner over the older stains a few extra times to get them to come completely out.
The Pet Stain Eraser comes with a charger so I plug it in on the counter until it’s changed then I put it away in the closet for easy accessibility. We have a lot of food and drink stains from our 1 1/2 year old so it’s so convenient to be able to grab the vacuum for a quick clean up before the stain sets.
The cleaner has everything ready to go! The cleaning solution lasts for many uses so you don’t have to refill it very often.
I am very happy with the Pet Stain Eraser and I think it works great for pet messes as well as messes and spills from my one year old!
